Anyone know ‘Irish Photo Artist’ on Flickr.

His name appears to be Martin Cullen and I have found my images of Rathlin caves receiving comments in his photostream.

    Please do.

I’ve just been trying to check if he has posted it as some kind of demonstration and has perhaps credited me somewhere. Not even that !!!!

He seems to be claiming it as his own and appears to be a respected photographer on flickr.

Then I wondered if he had visited the cave (unlikely) because the contrast has been ajusted. But low and behold you can see that the stick in the bottom right has not been moved with the high tide !!

I’ve responded also. Very much out of order. I do hope a valid explanation will be forthcoming.

Andy, might be worth getting in touch with some of his contacts to see if you can find out more about him.
Maybe you’ll find out enough to enable you to get a phone number…

Cullen is a popular name in Tyrone; but I’ve no idea who he is.

“respected photographer on flickr” – i went through his earlier pictures, and all i see is snapshots and overcooked street photos, pictures of mannequinns and such… of course, if you post your images in a thousand “rate me” and “give me a star” groups, you’ll get a thousand comments on each photo, even on the crap ones. the pictures he/she lately put up are obviously not his/her. actually, the ‘where giants walked’ picture looks familiar from somewhere.

Have you reported the abuse to flikr?

    Zoltan is right-
    looks like an inveterate ‘shopper-
and maybe an invertabrate one too-

However, this spineless wonders seems to be the very backbone of flikr,
judging by the amount of comments he gets-

One of ‘his’ photos links to this site:

It says he lives in Dungannon — quite near we are. I still don’t know him. There are two M Cullens in BTs online
phone book for Dungannon [BT70] — but one is [probably] Michael Cullen, our butcher.

Edit: you can contact him from the above link — you can use your Flickr account to register

I now have a mobile number. Isn’t it great when the detectives all work together.

Mr. Cullen’s image company known as “The Seriously Intelligent Photographic Art Company” is in the business of producing digital fine art images derived from original photographs he produces and later manipulates with digital editing software. Thousands of photographers and fine artists are engaged in this same practice, however, very few of these image makers have what it takes to create images as inspiring and unique as Mr. Cullen’s

What makes this work stand out from the crowd is Mr. Cullen’s mastery of digital image editing tools to manipulate his images and transform them into works of fine art

    From his testimonial here

I had to post a comment too. I can’t stand this sort of thing.

He seems to have started up quite recently. Strange mixture of styles; quite a few look familiar – from here.
There are some odd spellings on his captions.

Bowe Island is more familiar as Boa Island.
