But if I put it into perspective for you. I have had photos online for 10 years and this is the first time that something as blatantly dishonest has happened to me. I will of course be pursuing the thief (and flickr) until this is sorted.
Andy
Well, perhaps it’s the first time that you have discovered it.
How did you find this out?

It’s a gif not swf, but I expect there’s a way to do it. Someone will know.
andy mcinroyParticipantBertie,
This one was very easy. I was doing a routine search for “Rathlin caves” and up it popped.
I am now in the habit of using google image search to scan large number of images online at once.
For instance I often search for things like
“inishowen guest house”, “antrim hotel” using google images to quickly scan large numbers of images across many sites. It is quite an effective technique to find images being stolen, particularly if the thief has labelled them on their pages.

Thanks; pity that you have to do searches like this.
I don’t know much about Adobe Flash, but I understand that using it makes it harder — but not impossible — to steal photos. Perhaps someone
knows more about this?mgstParticipantAndy i cant stand this sort of thing hope is gets sorted quickly and without too much hassle.

andy mcinroyParticipantInteresting, I just sent him an email stating that everything on his photostream that was not taken by him should be deleted. I made him aware that we are all watching his photostream closely and threatened an online name and shame campaign should more images come to light after today.
Lots more photos have just disappeared from his photostream.
The two that I remember were the ones of a dark brick tunnel and a sunset that were at the top of his page.
andy mcinroyParticipantNow his profile has disappeared.
Banned or cancelled? that is the question.
Google’s cache is a good job for gathering evidence though. Cheers Bertie.
