Seen a Nikon D40 for sale in a shop today in midlands for € 499. Body and kit lens…..is this good value for a beginner?
also they had a d40X for € 100 more ( 599 )

which is better value.

Seems a bit steep i bought mine in november for £299stg and £30cashback from nikon
you can get them now for £269stg and £30cashback in jessops and with the strong euro your chatting about €350-€380plus the cashback

Sound a bit steep alright, was in Jessops in Newry last night… some really good deals
at the moment, might be worth checking it out.
