Being honest… General Chat is going way OTT… it’s like a breeding ground for gobsh-tes lately.

I mean when BM puts up a thread titled “This thread does not merit a reply” and it gets 40+ replies you gotta ask yourself how mad are people becoming.

Monday was mental, Tuesday was mental… both possibly worse than today. I posted nothing on Tuesday… silent protest, then Wednesday I started the Dunphy thread late in the evening, probably cos I was in a foul humour, I don’t know.

Measures need to be taken – something along the lines of:

* Make it hidden and subscription only, like the old nudey forum format
* Posts in General Chat don’t contribute towards your post count
* Posts in General Chat don’t show up on the “View Posts since Last Visit” or you can customize what forums don’t show up on this search
* Put a daily post quota on it

I’m certainly trying to cut it out… but you wouldn’t think it looking at today’s contributions… after going into remission on Tuesday and most of Wednesday I slipped yesterday evening.

I’m hope someone reads this and agrees with me for a change. I’m going to try avoiding GC a bit… and get back on the Dunphy Critique wagon.

Those 2 are something I will be looking at tbh.
The amount of silly posts in General Chat is, well silly and I seriously may end up
having to do something about it.

People can of course have a chat, some fun etc… but seriously we don’t need
posts created just for the sake of it…
