If you want to find out if your current (or soon to be new) camera is compatible with the new Windows Vista Operating System here’s a good place to start: http://www.dcviews.com/press/Windows-Vista-Compatibility.htm

    Canon EOS 350d.
Most of the software works apart from the remote control software.
Don’t think its Canons fault though – more MS issues.

Oh and avoid Vista for now if you are running CS2, i am running both here
and CS2 is not happy at all, I’m getting update errors all over the place.

Plus when I open a pic in vista preview and then take it into CS2, CS2 starts waffling
on about removing imbedded colours. :?:

I think the real question is, is Vista compatible with my camera? I don’t care! I am sticking with XP, well, for now anyway!

I am in the process of moving to Ubuntu so the only vistas for me are landscapes.

Trust me you are better off.
I currently run Vista, XP and 2000 on my work machine
and XP is the best by far. Vista is really starting to bug the heck out of me.

At home I run a macbook that dual boot between Tiger and vista and to be honest
it’s ok on the mac, I’m waiting on a couple of driver updates but in general it’s a lot
better on the MAC than on a pc. Bizarre i know.
I only recently moved to a MAC after ten years of successfully avoiding them and I was
shocked at how good it was.
I will never buy another laptop I will only ever go with Macbook from here on out.

From what I’ve heard, *most* things run better under windows on a Mac vs on a PC. Apparently World of Warcraft absolutely FLIES under XP on a Mac :)
