ISCON/Krishna performers at Stephens Green

First time posting here (just listing my excuses..)
St Stephens Green, Saturday afternoon, from the ISCON / Krishna.ie event.
And Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam.
Regards!
PS: changing the title from ‘devotion’ as that was more relevant only to the first photo.
Jay KingParticipantGreat shots… the expression on the first is excellent, eyes closed… pure energy. The dof could be a bit shallower as the person to the right is a bit distracting…
The second is nice too… she’s alllmost looking into the camera – but not quite. Maybe a bit of a crop from the top, not sure about the bit of colour there…?
Think these shots would be better in the Portrait section though, rather than Street?
positronMemberThanks a lot Jay! For the first shot, you are right, I should have blurred the background with photoshop! And I can now see what you meant by the color on the top of the second shot- its the curtain behind the stage, and I can see it now when I tilted the laptop lcd a bit! Will crop / tweak that too! Thanks again Jay!
DenverDollParticipantNicely done positron!
Good call on the editing of both.
Love the conversion on the first and the bright colors for the second.
Excellent expressions caught too. Good work!

positronMemberThanks a million for the comments shar, glad you liked my editing!
One last one (I hope) from that evening, and I know I should stop adding to a thread like this..! And Jay is probably right, all of this should be in the Profiles/people section!
Here the performer is saluting the audience (and the weapons, gods etc etc) as he is about to perform ‘Tang-Ta’, a manipuri (a region of north eastern corner of India) martial arts form, which involves swords and spears! He was pretty good, I have to say! And I am yet to get the names and details of the performers, my contact on that team is on holidays!
Thanks!!
RobMemberSuperb in both colour and composition that last one positron.
That is one seriously vibrant blue, and beautifully exposed too.
Wonderfully sharp with good balance of light and shadow throughout
the image. My only niggle, and it’s a minor one, is that it’s a pity
to have that globe thingy or whatever it is obscuring his wrist.
Even with that, it’s a cracking shot. Nice work indeed.Rob.
positronMemberThanks Rob, thats a lot of good things you said there – I’m chuffed! :D
I see what you meant by the globe thing – its the butt end of the sword, its covering up all his right wrist, and now I can see, theres a cable of some sort running along the edge of the stage making it even worse! Time to release the army of the clones I guess..! Thanks again!!
