Is been a while since I posted, while teaching a beginners class in Waterford Camera Club, I told the beginners “Its not about the expensive DSLR’s, its about the photographer behind the camera”
Decided to do a little experiment this morning and head out with my trusty Canon G12 (while it looked very small on my tripod) to prove you can get reasonable shots from a non DSLR, or point and shoot.
Both taken with ISO 80 f8 around 1 sec shutter speed.
Very good examples John. If you hadn’t mentioned that they were taken with a non DSLR, you wouldn’t know. Some P&S cameras can give excellent results & are a lot easier to carry about.
John, I’ll second Miki’s comments and your sound advice to the beginners. My most ‘popular’ shot among friends and family in recent years was taken with a 2008 Nokia phone!
