About 6 years ago myself and the now wife(gf at the time) were off on a sun holiday, Lanzorote or one of these places. 2 days before the flight she announces she can’t find her passport anywhere, and I’m going mad… telling her I’m going without her and all that jazz. She asks me will I check my room and I say “no no, what on earth would it be doing here”… so an extra day off work she takes off to the passport office (Cork I think?) and gets a temp one so she’s able to go.
Roll on two years and we’re moving into our new house together… I’m clearing out my old room in my parents house (where she has never lived obviously) and what do I find? Her bloody passport.
I didn’t pay for it nearly as much as I thought I was going to though.

Not straight away… But eventually did, though I’ve no idea why. As I was typing the story I was thinking “Why did I tell her?”
