David, I am seriously impressed by this shot.
It was not only excellently taken but superbly presented as well.You have set the “creativity” bar very high with this one.
This one is in my top ten shots on PI without doubt.

I’ve come back to these a few times too,
but its your reference to the tampon on the floor which has finally forced a comment-I can’t see it,
and it shows the dangers of forming an opinion of an image based on a low res reproduction-Regarding the montage,
I find it just a little bit disjointed,
although undoubtedly, that was your intention.I think I would tend to side with Rob and Pete regarding the images,
but only if was forced to choose a side in the first place-
and again, I can’t see them with enough clarity-Either way, I’m sure it looks better as an original piece on a wall-

jb7 – the tampon is small, and would probably only be discovered on looking at the image for a length of time, (at full res) … however the fact that most people will not see it at first look was also deliberate – (without getting too arty ;-) ) .. i wanted people to see different things in this image – perhaps have an initial gut reaction, but on closer inspection discover more.
i am immensely gratified that you guys are taking the time to come back to this image – to me that means a lot – whether you like it or not – i am glad that it provokes opinions and i welcome them all

This looks tawdry, smutty and very close to being against the rules of the site even though it’s a very impressive piece of photographic art I don’t like it myself
as i said earlier, i was a bit nervous about posting it here as i was aware it was perhaps borderline, and i am more than happy to take it down if it breaks the rules or is felt not to be in keeping with the ‘spirit’ of this site.
i welcome all points of view bjorn and i am sorry that you find it tawdry and smutty, neither of those things were my intention, provocative perhaps but if this is coming across as ‘cheap’ then i have failed
