The day before, at the barber- this film was in the camera for lo-fi day,
so I thought I’d throw it in-Camera perched on my knee, 1 sec Æ’/8.
Nobody noticed, but there was a lot of timber in the interior,
so the camera was well camouflaged-This one as well, in the church in Rathmines-
much more light here, 1/8th sec-
deep breath…Unfortunately I lost a few frames on this roll to light leaks-
I haven’t been able to find the source-
they only occurred on this roll-Sadly, one of them was one of Gigi on the quays-
guess we’ll have to try another one-at the gallery…
more brieses on the quays…
Calatrava’s latest addition to the town gets its first coat of paint-
The financial district gets some new premises
Another sunset…
Then the entertainment…
All Neopan 400, HC110, on the plank…
I’ve got a few more, but these are the better, sorry, less worser ones-
Now that I’ve had a chance to put a few rolls through,
I can see that the sharpness in the middle is not as bad as I thought-
Not as much coverage as Martin’s Holga,
but a bigger circle of illumination-
Not sure a Holga lens would cover 6×9,
now that I think about it…nfl-fanParticipantThe photo with the caravan is pure class Joseph… really like it, the composition, the sweet spot… defo the bestist of the less worser.
Alan RossiterParticipantdefo the bestist of the less worser.
 Sounds like an anti-pseudo double negative…or sumpink.
I saw these earlier this morning when things were still in the middle of the night mode with the intention of commenting later…but forgot. The first – I’m in a feckin bottle by the looks of the image. The third one makes me remind me of vision while binge drinking…when it was just called drinking. It really hurts me head! The caravan is mad!
That oul plank of yours is doing you well. Patent pending, I presume??
Alan.
SeoirseMemberVery nice set of images Joseph.
I like them all. :!:
The caravan one has a very strange quality
and I would love to see a lith print made of it.
I also particularly like the ‘at the gallery’ pic.
It would have looked even more surreal if the guy
on the right had his hands down by his sides instead
of holding the print with his right hand.
At first glance I thought these two guys had cardboard boxes
on their heads. Weird image and very well seen. :)
davedunneParticipantI like all of these. The plank really is a great camera. If I was to pick one, I’d go for “The financial district gets some new premises “.
pallotronParticipantawesom pictures!
i like most the ones ot the gallery… i really like the way you used the lense to isolate the subject of your pics from the rest of the scene :)randomwayMemberNice pics, Joseph, it’s good to see that you enjoy using that camera. The one with the caravan is a winner.
MartinParticipantLovely set of shots. The caravan shot would be my favorite too.
There seems to be similarities between this lens and the original lens. Looks allot sharper though.
Man you need to sort out your darkroom and get printing
M
RobMemberAh the caravan…
Like everyone else, this one’s a real winner for me Joseph.
Well spotted, composed and executed…Like the brieses too, particularly the first with the lamp reflection…
aoluainParticipantmore plank blur . . . lovit!
great set Joseph, as was expected.
The standouts for me are 1 & 3 along with
the Caravan, good vision there.I also have a soft spot for the musicianers
from my many years involved with the trad!those two guys holding the boards . . . how is the fella
on the left holding it up???anyway another great set.
jessthespringerParticipantGreat work Joseph, absolutely brilliant, all of them.
I’m on the Father Ted visits the Finical District band wagon too.Sinead
jb7ParticipantThanks for all the comments everyone-
These were all processed in Apple Aperture,
so just like the last time, they might end up looking different when printed-I kinda knew that the caravan was a good one when I saw it,
though the film jammed, and I had to retake it-
dunno if the fogged version might have been better
but there’s something strange going on with the light-
the caravan is behind the shadow of a cloud,
while the building is sunlit-There are a few more, but some might go in the Plank thread,
just to illustrate what the lens does in detail…Thanks again-
btw Alan, those prints are strung on a washing line kinda thing-
lost in the general fuzziness…mgstParticipantmiki gParticipantI really like the caravan and the barbers. (wonder do the two lads practice on each other when business is quiet)
shutterbugParticipantIt has been driving me mad…….I kept going back to look and the caravan shot wasnt there!!
really really wanted to see what everyone picked as their favourite, tried again this morning
and there it was (dont know why I couldnt see it before?) and I must say it is the pick of the
bunch closely followed by the shot of the liffey really like that one too.Excellent set of pics………..cant wait to see what I got wont get them back till next Friday :(
apparently they (Conns) have to send them to Cork to get them developed!!
