This is a strange picture, Sinead. When I first looked at it, I didn’t like it at all… strong colours, very busy and confusing..

.. but maybe that’s what engages me as well. His head must be like that, busy, steaming inside and wanting to get out.

I think, I would prefer it in 3:2 or 5:4 format, cut just above the wall, below the lit up letters on the top.

Yes, strange indeed, it is all those things you said. I’m not really sure if I like it myself or not,
your right about the crop, Joseph suggested the same else where.

It is cropped a bit already, wasn’t sure if it could cope with much more.

    Thanks.

    I do like this one.
The crop is right, maybe get a bit more off the top.
But I like the fact that he look so ‘dark’ and ‘out of place’ in such a colourfull happy picture.
Even though there’s a lot going on in this picture (..what you expect..it’s taken at a fun fare.. puck?) my eye is drawn to this ‘out of place’ person. Think if you would have been slightly later and the blue car would have been behind him, it wouldn’t have worked so well. But his dark jumper in front of the pink car works fine.

Hehe and just as I press Submit I notice the doll on the pink car ‘staring’ at the person. It almost looks as if she wants to draw him into the fun!! ;)

I was watching him for a while and waited until there was someone on the ride, I think he was quite miffed at having his picture taken.
I saw him later at the ‘hook a duck’ stand and asked if I could take his picture, he said no. I had the feeling he might have hooked me with the duck hook if I asked again.

    Thanks,

    Sinead
