    OK.. you got it.

It’s a decent first shot. The sky is a bit on the bright side but the image has a nice calm look to it.

    Keep posting, keep posting!!!

I agree, the sky is too burned but the reflection comes up very well in the water. If you are shooting RAW, you can try and tone back the exposure of the sky to make it a little more friendly to the eye. In terms of whats in the picture, its a very nice scene, very peaceful as has been mentioned.

Nice first post alright. As has been mentioned already the sky is very burnt out, which is a shame. If I were taking this I would have used a polariser filter (to combat the sun light reflecting off the water, which would have given deeper greens on the trees) and a ND Grad filter (dark at top clear at bottom).

Now, as it’s already been taken how do we go about getting something back in the sky. Firstly, in Photoshop select the sky area, and darken it down a little (using the brightness tool) add a good bit of contrast too, maybe up the saturation ONLY in the BLUE channel and finally and add a light ND grad filter (play with various colours blue or grey may be best) effect which will tone down the sky nicely.

Can you tell us some technical details re: ISO, shutter speed, aperture and was it shot in JPEG or RAW.

    Really nice.
