DenverDollParticipant
I stopped by the rookery today and this guy was such a camera hog that I finally gave in~~
RobMemberVery nice Doll. Lovely and sharp at the eye, even a catchlight, though I can’t
help feeling that you could do with just a little more contrast in your post-processing
and just a teensy little more sharpening once you’ve resized for web display.
You’re really getting the hang of Alimpus. Keep it up…Rob.
DenverDollParticipantThanks for the comment Rob!
I have to remember that..sharpen very last
Sometimes I realise that I really don’t know much at all :shock:Will keep at it..is impossible not too…waaaaaay too addictive!

DenverDollParticipantHey thanks you guys!
Martin~~~Cheers for that..he was enormous….he’d last from Halloween to New Year’s and still have fat for soup.

CoveyParticipantLove this, the viewpoint is great.
Personally, I think the sharpening is fine.
T.
DenverDollParticipantAw thanks Covey!
Decided to use this as my avatar for the time being, because, well it fit the dimensions, and I feel like a silly goose a lot of the time
RavenAshMemberLike the way the goose stands out from the picture. Nice detail of the eye and neck.
Great pose from your subject :)DenverDollParticipantThank you Ravenash!
Those were sort of the qualities I liked too!
He really was adorable..just a real ham of a goose
Sharon
positronMemberWhat a poser!! :D I like your treatment too. Love that long stiff neck, tight lips (well beak), “oh go away paparazzi, yes, I am going to meet the Queeen” kinda look!!
DenverDollParticipantthanks positron!
He really was a character. I don’t know if I can ever eat goose again now
Sharon
jb7ParticipantHi Sharon,
I’ve looked at this a few times now-Great detail in the bird,
looks like exposure and sharpening was spot on-Not so sure about the vaseline vignette though-
but that’s just me-j
