Hi i’ve just joined and am looking forward to expanding my digital photography knowledge, I have just got my first “serious” camera having upgraded from a point and shoot to a Bridge camera and who knows maybe a DSLR before long?

You should be able to find all the knowledge you seek in these pages.If you don’t mind me asking, what is a Bridge camera?
It’s basically an SLR camera on which the lens is fixed. In other words, you look through
the viewfinder, you’re looking through the lens. But you can’t switch lenses. Fuji Finepix 5500,
5600, 9000, etc., all bridge cameras.Rob.

yes I love my fuji s5600… gonna get a full dlsr next…
Thanks for the welcome!! I’ve a Panasonic FZ50, which has a 12x Leica Optics, as stated this is a fixed lens and gives great scope (35mm Equivilant 35-420), like many DSLR it has plenty of Manual control including focus and to date has been a joy and learning experience to use!
