Just like the buses!!

De-aRtParticipantAlan RossiterParticipant
Nicely composed. The addition of people (?) helps the fow of the image. Maybe a little dodging of the pebbles might help guide the eye into the depths of the image toward the low cloud.
Glad you got the hang of embedding images. Next step would be to make it a little bigger – 800px on the longest side is about the norm.Alan
De-aRtParticipantCheers Alan
Here’s the 800px version – lightly dodged in the pebbles. There is a dog in there honest!

mcmartinParticipantIs that Newcastle beach and mighty Mournes in the background????
and as Alan noticed… those people could be bit larger what would make really nice scene… one suggestion about conversion… although these clouds are fantastic, and scary enough already… try applying some levels… that would add much more drama and contrast to, as i said, already quite dramatic sky
i also like the “Saturday family morning “composition here…
and i cant see the larger version…
rc53MemberpauloconParticipantThat Newcastle?
Up that way today but very little cloud – some in the afternoon.
Lovely shot there.
De-aRtParticipantSorry about that, another Homer moment!!
Yes it’s Newcastle and the Mighty Mournes from Murlough Bay.
Martin – had already done the levels on the sky but was afraid of over pushing it but seeing as you’ve recommended it we’ll give it a go.
As far as the people in the shot goes – we actually normally avoid them at all cost and try to concentrate on the beauty of the landscape itself – but we couldn’t ask them to bugger off could we! So, they’re in it by default. ( Oh sorry – we deliberatley used the people to give the image a sense of scale…or some other cliched bollocks!!)
Thanks to the horizon police for pointing out the wonky horizon – we’ll get that corrected as well
Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment – much appreciated.
