I think its really engaging and that little facelooks like it has a story to tell. I might be tempted to leave a tad less negative space to the left although it does work when subject is off centre as compositional tool it can be overdone too.

Jenny, he was sad….another kid had just pulled his hair :( so i thought it was a good comparison against the other shot with his happy face.

This shot came 2nd in the Camera Club monthly competition for me last night. Beaten out of 1st by 1 point :(

Congratulations! It’s a nice shot – a little bit different as the expression isn’t the usually happy, or indifferent even. It’s a bit perplexed bordering sadness look that makes the photo a bit slow to talk to you, but once it does, it is indeed though provoking.
