Kildare clubs

I’m wondering how many people it takes to set up a club?? I’m waiting for an excuse to set one up in the kildare/Naas/sallins area!
Pm me and we can talk about it. Im keen to get one up and running as well and dont mind putting time into it. I think the Naas Newbridge area would be a good start as there is a club in Celbridge which would take from any club in Sallins area.
I could be interested also if some enterprising photog was to start one up.

Im working on it at the moment, I was to have some help in it, but that person ended up joining another club.
id expect to have the 1st club meeting in a week or so and will pm everyone thats interested at that time.

Just wondering did you ever get the club moving. I’m in the celbridge club and I’m also involved with the IPF (the umbrella organisation for camera clubs in ireland). If you need help getting started or want to visit some of the other clubs to get an idea on how they are run, let me know.

ThanksHow many ppl have you got for your first meeting and what would be the skill level across the board? Have you thought what you will call yourselves yet?
Btw I’m trying to compile a list of all camera clubs in Ireland as I think it nearly impossible to find a club in a particular county/area. I would apprecaite if I could add your clubs contact details email or phone, website when you have it to the list.

Hi There,
Didnt get the club started, too many things came together at the wrong time to get it up and running. That combined with the problems of finding a place to hold meetings has kept me from getting it up and running.
If I get any further with it Ill let you all know.
Or if anyone has a premises in mind, in the newbridge, naas area that would be available once a week for a few hours let me know.

Im in Kildare and would be interested in a Camera Club in the Area. Let me know if you need help or if you get things going.
Have you looked into the Riverbank Art Centre or the CYMS in Kildare town? Or maybe even the town centre in Naas town. If there is a fee to use the area, if sure there would be enough people interested in attending the first meeting to pictch in a few bucks for the location. I’ve been to a workshop at the Riverbank, so they may be willing to help out a local camera club getting started and if we ever manage to put together a good few pictures they do exhibitions all the time. As I said if you need help, just say so and I can look into this stuff.In the mean time….
Joe, when is the next meeting of the Dunamaise Club in Portlaoise? I’ve a friend thats in Mountmellick who would also be interested, so whens the meeting? Are there fees, etc…

Is anyone here interested in starting a club in Kildare or Newbridge? If so, PM me and we can look at getting something off the ground.
joe, I tried a few months back to get a similar thread going. Would definately be interested in setting up a Camera Club in Naas/Newbridge/Sallins area.
Maybe we should try the public thread to see if there is a good enough response first??
