Kilkenny vs Waterford

Well Ken for a first attempt I think you hit it on the head. A great set of shots everyone excellent for something different if that makes sense, hadn’t been as fussed on the second but that will teach me to look at the thing properly :oops: the bend of the hurl the look on the Kilkenny players face excellent.
I can see me coming back to these a few times.

I had the 300mm f/2.8 on a 40D for the game. Pretty pleased for my first attempt so hopefully a newspaper might pick them up.
If you’d have told me that you did sports photography for a living I’d most definetly have believed you based on the quality of these shots.
All of them are technically sport on (focus, exposure, shutter speed, sharpness, saturation). Fave might be #1… just the manner in which the Kilkenny defender is just out of focus.
The Cats gave the Deise a fair ‘ol beating.. as for Wexford… drew with Dublin… makes me proud to be a Yellow Belly :shock:

Excellent set there. Only the second is let down; a little further
away would eliminate the awkward crop of the feet and the player
to the right of frame…Rob.

Dont really know a lot on sports photography but these look the biz,sharp,good dof,expressions etc worthy of entry to any of the regional sports papers. Good work…
