Lovely. Great reflections. They feel slightly dark, but only slightly. Great job

    Nice shots Mark,
No 2 is very dramatic, I’d be inclined to photoshop the 2 dark objects out of the water as I find them a distraction, are they fishing pots of some kind?
I spent a weekend here a few years ago…great scenery, heading up near here this weekend to do a bit of hillwalking and hopefully some camera work!!

    Sharp and well composed.

    Thanks for the replies!

Mike, yeah they are bouys I think, there’s a lot of lobster pots around here so I’m assuming that’s what they are. I’ll try photoshopping them out but I kind of like them so I’ll probably leave them in. Good luck with your photos this weekend, I’d recommend Derryclare lake, the Inagh valley, Kylemore and Diamond hill in the national park (but you probably know all the locations since you’re a hillwalker).

Great colours in both shots, I love the 2nd one the little cottage gives
it a great sense of scale. They both seem a bit cut off at the edges and
I want to see more, you need a wide wide angle

    Thanks for commenting Jenny! :-)

The first is a composite of 6 shots spanning about 180 degrees, I don’t know of any wide angle lens that covers that much?!

The second was more a case of composition…I have a wide angle but thought this framing worked better – less is more and all that. :-)

Both are great, really nice reflections! Love the light and atmosphere in the second shot!
