Another shot from Sunday afternoon. I wasnt sure whether this is a people shot, sport shot, landscape or documentary shot..soooo… :wink:

I would ve really tempted to crop the shot
so that you have the people in the bottom left and the kite in the top right.
You may end up with some cool diagonals going on.Thanks Graham. I did consider that..amongst about ten other variations of crop on this one. But I like the twin towers in the background and didn’t want to lose them.
I’d never heard of this sport before Sunday and they were all over the strand and in the water. So I looked it up online to see what it was called…
Rather them than me is all I can say… :D
I like it as is. Like you say, the towers give it a location. The diagonal is a nice feature too. Hmm, any chance you have some more shot to add a wee bit of space around the kite?

Try to play with midtones maybe you can increase the visibility of the clouds…..?Aiden, I believe I do, in fact this was quite a chunky crop because when I took it I didn’t want to limit myself , so I left quite a bit of leeway for cropping..so I’ll have a look at that. I cropped with a 2:1 ratio so I was trying to stay within that AND keep the towers.
Joseph, I’m surprised too…hehe!! I actually straightened this a little in PS but I may have taken my horizon from the line of the Dunes rather than the actual ground..hence the slight irregularity. So if they arrest me it’ll be a fair cop… :wink: In my defence…it was slightly off in the first place cos there was a wind blowing up that beach that would freeze the globular nodes off a brass monkey..and I wasn’t wearing a jacket :wink:
Roberto, I already did some mid tone contrast adjustment on it so I’m not sure I could get any more from it. Unfortunately I was shooting into the sun.
