Kodak Professional 8500 Photo Printer for sale. Again I’m trying to clear out some worktop space.

Hi.
Just Googled reviews etc on this printer and don’t see too much negitivity. Only question I’d have would be regarding consumables, maintenence, etc, as this model was discontinued in Sept 2005. So just wondering how recently was this used and do you generally have any difficulty sourcing consumables…?

Consumables should be available for up to 12 years after product being discontinued unless the company really went out of business. I got the last ones about a year ago from DLK so they should be still around for a few years yet. I do know that Mitsubishi have a printer that uses the same paper and donor roll so they are interchangeable.

Mind if I ask – was there any particular reason you stopped using it…?
I bought the Epson 4000 and prefer the inkjet prints to the dye sub as I can only print gloss with this printer (Kodak) and I don’t like glossy prints.
Some people love them but I don’t. That’s it really. I have used it recently just once to make sure it works but as I have no real need for it I am just going to sell it off as it may be use to someone else.I just put it here for the next week and after that Ebay will get it.
