Taken last week on the hols, the weather on this day was particularly hot.
Great day on the island and took many images of the statue from different angles etc.
I like this shot myself, but would be interested to hear any critique on it.

Have to say I like this one a lot… the blue sky really sets the statue off. Very vibrant and clear.
Think I like the crop too… the extra space on the RHS works… I think. I had a look with less space on the right but preferred the original.

Cheers John. This is one of my favourites of the trip and one that was in my head
that I wanted and I think I achieved that.
Only problem was the lack of my tripod, especially for night shots
but musn’t complain.Pat

I’ve made my comments on this one, and the others you presented last Monday. This one is well executed, not the typical touristy shot and the contrast is perfect on the subject. My reaction to shots like this is to go B&W but this is one to justify leaving colour in a shot.

That is a great shot. I hope you don’t mind but I could not resist a B&W conversion.
