Shoulda come here first, woulda sorted them out…
I saw this yesterday…an RSS feed I have. The comments that came with it was that it was “obvious why the winning image had been chosen”. I thought…yeuch! Only natural if you’ve gotten a belt on the head or if it’s like that on your own planet. The third in the sequence is even more OTT. I liked the runners & the trolley…but couldn’t take to the “obvious” winner. Yeah, we’d put them right…HDR indeed, huh!
There’s no accounting for taste, eh?

Yes, the winners are all a little overcooked for my taste. One of mine was commended, no HDR, either :)

The runners are good, but none of these images would get a vote from me for an “image of the year” title. My photos are better anyways, so I don’t care.

That was too good for them, Peter. I would love to see who were judging in this competition?

Ah there, you see…you knew what you were doing Peter. You’ve lived on PI for a while. It’s a nice shot though at this resolution.

Guys it’s all subjective and these were the choice’s of the judging panel and as they’re the ones making the selections they are the people your images must impress.
