Landscape photography and filters / multiple exposures

    Hi all,

I normally take photos at sports events, but I will be heading to the Canadian Rockies in August so going to try my best to get a few landscape photos while I’m there.

At the moment at the wide angle side of my gear, I have a Sigma 12-24 and a Samyang 35mm. I will also be only taking one camera so will be taking a 550D.

The Sigma won’t take any filters, without going to Cokin X-pro I think, or else rear filters. So doesn’t seem the best for ND grads.

I have been thinking of maybe replacing the 12-24 with the Canon 17-40 and then using Cokin or similar filters on it. I’m really not too sure whether I should just try multiple exposures or change to the Canon lens and filters for the best photos.
