    The original shot appeared a little flat. So i decided to try and jazz it up a little, using the natural tones of the surrounding area. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi Des,

    For me, it has too much done to it! Somehow the dramatic change of colours doesn’t work for me, e.g. green sand.
    But that’s just one person’s taste :)

    I agree, there are many ways to jazz it up more subtley.

    The trick is to process your images as if there was no processing done !!

    This is a really nice composition, the tobacco sky does suit but that
    yellow/lime green filter is just too much.

    I actually think this image has a lot of potential, nice and simple.

    I agree here with what has been said above. Perhaps a neutral or gray treatment to the sand might look better. Even a light sepia to go with the tobacco sky. And I’d probably crop the water at the bottom.
