    Thanks for opinions…
Actually i do framing to most of my photographs…this is an old picture, and I agree, frame is a bit too massive, but I’d still prefer this image with at least thin black frame…it improves contrast a little doesn’t it?

Only time I would put a white frame on a picture for the web is if the web site had a very dark background…Frames are for printed pictures I think not screen pictures :-)

    Hi herman,

    I really like this image.
Great sky and lovely colours in the boats.
    Composition is good.

I’m afraid I’m in the “no frame” camp as well.
Not just this image but in general.

    Well done.

    John.

Like this one, the sky just looks so well, row of boats and sky make this shot, well done.

Really nice shot Heman. Like the dark clouds coming in on the right side. Just curious – what lens did you use? Im thinking of breaking my meagre budget and buying a wide angle soon. Donations kindly received :D.
And drop the large frame. Bit too fond of framing myself but a smaller and simpler one might work better on this.

    Super shot,
Love the hint of drama in the sky,
Only suggestion would be to clone out the grass on the left,

markclehane: I took this photo few years ago, then I was just experimenting with frames and had found them making images look better in my eyes…I didn’t think the frame could be actually thinner or something at that time…Since then i changed my mind little bit and frames i apply to my pics are little more ‘light weighted’ :-) You will see shortly in my next picture post…
About lenses…I was working for a photo store at that time and had few different lenses to try them out…I do not remember exactly what model was it but for sure it was Sigma wide angle lens…One of the ‘higher level’ lenses not just the cheapest…
If You are very interested i can try to have a look at Sigma website and find it out for You…

Have you changed the blues in the 2nd version? Sky looked different (and better) in the original framed version. Aside from that I think its a strong enough image to not require the frame. And definitely the suggestion by flynny to clone out grass has worked.

Yes, I have changed the sky a bit on the second version…
Finally there is third and last version uploaded in previous post, with original blues and other suggestions applied…
    Thanks for comments :-)
