Leica M9 and X1

You can read more about them here:

That little X1 looks very promising, I would love to have one… but the price will probably match the quality..

The only good news is, that this should further push the market in the right direction: nice size cameras, larger sensors and not too big filesizes. I might be the owner of an M9 in 4-5 years time, who knows.

Leica…supposedly good cameras but has the following of a high brow golf club.

I was checking the differences between the Panasonic LX3 and the Leica D-Lux 4. Hardware-wise they’re identical…the only difference is the firmware. But several idiots on the forum that were discussing it claimed that the difference between them was the user. Seemingly Leica users create photographs and Panasonic users take snapshots…and that’s the main difference between them.

    Spare me!

You are one of the snappers Alan, that’s why you’ll never undertsand it.

Of course Zoltan, of course. Don’t know why it didn’t sink in with me earlier.

    I’ll get me coat…

Better I take my coat as well before the real Leica guys arrive and discover tham I’m a snapper, too.

I wanted to write something like ‘Zoltan with a Leica???? what a poser!’
but the party is over, apparently.

At £4,850.00 it is not exactly cheap but considering the upgrade from the M8.2 that costs £3,649.00 it seems pretty good.

    Cheers.

You heard it here first folks!!

 I can see a full DSLR with a range of lenses with spares and a holiday out of £4,850. This mad money and thoroughly unjustified in my opinion. If these are your thing then go for it but I’m sure the quality of image is marginal when it comes to quality.

Can you give me the number of your Santa Claus?? Mine was a skinflint in comparison.
