Not sure what the area exactly is known as or what that hill in the middle is called, anyhow its from the PI weekend of course…
and its in b+w :)Anyhow, C+C welcome.
Oh and this is Mark’s tree ;)
nfl-fanParticipantYes, really like this. Nice composition, Excellent conversion, lots of detail from the foreground right through. Not sure if it needs as much space as it has above the tree as the sky is probably the only area which lacks feature. Nice work.
lousyParticipantMartinParticipantSuper shot Mark, One of your best ones in a while for sure
Do a print and see what the blacks come out like and make sure there is some detail in them, if no detail i’d dodge them back a bit, well done

kenhParticipantjessthespringerParticipantExcellent stuff Mark, very nice conversion, love the angles of the hills all coming together just where the tree is.
Leitrim Lodge it is. Or The Killing Fields as known locally.
Sinead.
ossie13ParticipantMarkKeymasterThanks for all the comments  :D much appreciated.
A print will be tried out for sure.
Cheers!
Alan RossiterParticipantYou’ve found a good balance between the slope of the hill and the angle of the tree that works well. And, as has been said, a good conversion to match.
Alan.
mrnevin2001ParticipantYou have a great eye for landscape photography and interesting composition. I find most landscape shots boring and non creative but yours has all the elements that makes your landscapes shots a cut above the rest.. keep up the good work..
Mick451ParticipantVery nice.
Like the way you’ve used the angles of the slopes, they help draw the eye to the tree.
Good shape to the tree from this angle too, though it’s a slight shame those couple of branches hanging down on the left cut below the ridge line of the mountain – still, nothing a bit of cloning won’t fix. Good to see plenty of space given to the sky, lots of subtle detail in there which adds to the weathered look of the tree. Looks like there’s plenty of detail in the dark bits.
