lemon in the water

hey all, it is my first photo post
noticed myself that a lemon is too bright :?
jb7ParticipantWell done Rima,
a nicely composed and lit shot-
the only criticism would be with your focus-
Depth of field is extremely limited at higher magnifications,
and in this case, the lemon,
which is maybe the subject of the picture,
is a little soft-But everything else is great-
j
PeteTheBlokeMemberVery good. I agree with JB’s comments, but the water looks almost 3D it’s so sharp at the front. Well done.
rimagirlMemberPeteThe Bloke and jb7 thank you for the comments, it is great to get some criticism as you always learn from the mistakes you do.
RobMemberExcellent first post Rima, really well timed.
As you said yourself, perhaps a little bright.
As Joseph mentioned, the lemon is a bit soft,
but that of course is in the nature of lemons in general… :lol:Keep ’em coming.
Rob.

…badduum tissssh!!!!!!!
Well done, Rima.
I’ve never managed to capture a shot like that. I’ve now given up until I get some proper electronic equipment to trigger the camera.
The lemon, as mentioned is a bit soft. Take another shot of the lemon on its own and plonk it into your original shot.earthairfireParticipantGreat first post!
Aside from the softness / focus issue, the only other area I’d look at is the shadow behind the glass – I think it would be a stronger image if the subject was totally “removed” from it’s surroundings i.e. in open space. Either that, or if it was put into a context i.e. sitting in the kitchen / on a picnic table etc.
Out of interest, how did you trigger this? Trial & error / focus lock / photo trigger?
PS – welcome aboard!
