Lens for wedding photography

Ok so I cant remember if I have posted this before or not. I am looking for a lens for weddings and the like. I am looking for a f2.8 and a good bit of distance prob around 100-150mm. It is for a canon camera and I am a little strapped for cash so if any one knows where I could get a good lens at a good price that would be great. And once agian I am sorry if I have already posted this.

    Thanks for all your help.

As you well know Shane f2.8 Canon lenses no matter what focal length are
a costly item and in the range you are looking for even dearer again.
When you say strapped for cash…how much is your budget ?…thats the first
starting point and then people can try to help you.

I have around 400-500euro. to spend. It does no have to be a canon lens but one that fits a canon mount. Thanks

You might be able to pick up either a second hand Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 or Canon 100mm f2.8 for 500 lids.

Keep your eye out for a Canon 200mm f2.8. There are 2 versions which are optically
the same… one with and integrated hood and one with a detachable one. I have the
older integrated one and have used it at a couple of weddings that I wasnt the official
photographer at. Its great for picking out candid moments from a distance and its wicked
    sharp even wide open…

Its a rare enough lens and even rarer secondhand so if ye see one even remotely
    cheap its worth a shot.

(The 135 f2 is similar to the above…!)
