Lens repair, help!!!!!

Hello all!
I recently noticed that the focus motor on my canon 50mm f/1.4 lens keeps jamming, I was priced at €250 for a repair, it almost cost me that brand new! Does anybody know a place or person who could do this for cheaper? Before I try to replace the focus motor myself and break it completely!

Mark DIf you want to try repair it yourself, you could try the steps below. Personally, I’d pay to have it done professionally.

Hi have used this guy in greystones, fixed a 17-85 lens and also put a new screen in a 350d for me, gave me the choice of new or second hand screen, gave me a price straight away and had both done with in a week
