Cant track this moth down…….1cm from tip to tail, with a bright orange spot central on the wings….Help :D
Red Admiral I think?
If you are still looking for the moth you could try this site http://ukmoths.org.uk/index.php. I couldn’t find anything like it in my ref book so would be interested if you ever do find out.
Not sure about the caterpillar though, I thought Red Admirals had jagged, almost furry spines whilst yours seem smooth.
I’ve searched everywhere too Neely, cant find it either :x As for the catterpillar, the closest match I could find was Red Admiral…..but still doesn’t seem right :D
Quite odd really, there haven’t been any radiation leaks in your neck of the woods lately have there!!!
There are thousands of species and they look all the same. I’d say, this particular individual is a moth. But I’m not sure.
