Cheers Rob-
Good luck with that Diplomatic job at the UN-Alan, yourself and Martin have mentioned the border-
a necessary evil here, as the sky is the same colour as the blend at the top of the page-
so I had to do something-I used to print my b+w 35mm full frame through the rebates-
and they might have looked similar to this on the page-I’m just about to do some printing-
and I want to standardize a presentation-
so I was thinking of a black line border like this-
though not so heavy on the larger prints-Text is another thing I might have to think of-
I see you don’t mind using it,
but I see it as another thing to go wrong,
and I might try to downplay it-This is like the size on the page I was toying with-
for A4/A3-Any thoughts?
This is what happens on the wrong side of a spinnaker-

Alan RossiterParticipantNow there’s a shot that’s all about the action! You can sense the tension or pressure here in this one. I’d imagine this is par for the course for this type of transport for the roll to be at such a degree. To the uneducated you’d think they were in deep doo-doo.
The border on this one works well Joseph. The information in the image is well contained and the lighter black lining helps it stand out. Did you crop this one Joseph? Nothing wrong, it just works so well. I’d say you’d have lost the action if you’d included the complete mast in a portrait type shot.
Of course, I could be wrong…Alan.
jb7ParticipantCheers Alan-
turns out this is full frame-
no crop, no rotation-Don’t get many of them out there-
Just a little tilt up would have been nice-j
RobMemberLovely action-packed image Joseph. Quite an achievement on
choppy water to hang on to that horizon without any rotation or
cropping – perhaps you were on stilts on the sea bed?
Marvellous sporting shot, and brilliant control of the exposure too;
I can never get my whites to look that way, even with Daz…Rob.
