Let’s see all those Wooly Waters…
-
nfl-fanParticipant
Let’s have a celebration of Wooly Water pics. Feel free to post your Wooly Water pics on this thread.
Taken this morning… (no PS at the mo’ to fix the barrel distortion)
SteveDParticipantPeople who do woolly water shots only do them because they are so easy! No talent required!
John, long exposures are overdone.
justaguyParticipantI don’t and I do agree with that.
I takes a bit of talent to do it right, but on the other hand it is a very easy topic. There are to much of those shots on this site. Honesty forces to tell you that I was doing a shot like that yesterday in Galway. Probably have that finished tomorrownfl-fanParticipantI went on the All Ireland Talent Show and Daithi O’Shea told me I was great.
Scumbag must’ve been lying.

Seascapes are not more or less easy than any other photographic subject. Too many long exposure seascapes??? Would you go into the portrait section and claim there were too many studio portraits taken using a 2 light setup?
GrahamBParticipantLads i don’t want to piss off all the landscapers but i really don’t get these shots.
They really don’t appeal to me at all.
I can see where you guys are coming from and I can appreciate the technical side of things.
They really don’t float my boat.SteveDParticipantGrahamB wrote:

They really don’t float my boat. Many types of photography don’t appeal to me, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to say so. Well, unless I wanted to try and stir the pot.
nfl-fanParticipantYou need to get up early Graham, be there for that beautiful sunset, breath the fresh sea air, listen to the waves hitting the shore.
If you can do all this butt naked it’s even better. At one with nature, just like Adam and Eve, the way God planned it, until the messed about with the apple.
GrahamBParticipantNow Steve stop that. I wasn’t stirring.
I was just saying I don’t get the appeal.
I often say that about different styles. Your job is not to comment on my decision to outline my
own opinion but to tell me why they do appeal to you. It’s called a discussion.SteveDParticipantnfl-fan wrote:

It is reassuring to know I am not the only one. Let’s not start a club.
GrahamBParticipantNFL although that sounds different your not selling.
The naked thing I can deal with but the early morning thing I’m not so
sure about…. :lol:SteveDParticipantGrahamB wrote:

And if you don’t get them, you don’t get them, I’m not sure there is much to discuss. I just don’t understand why you would come to the landscape section, open a thread which had a title describing a style you don’t like, only to comment on how you don’t like them!

Now who’s stirring
nfl-fanParticipantCalm down boys. Controvery seems to follow me wherever I go lately.
The nfl trademark must no longer be associated with scandal.
alancotterParticipantAll this jibber jabber over fecking “wooly water” images.. Gaylord Focker, you started all this ;-) Now, can we get back to the point of this thread and people start posting they’re “wooly water” images?? I have never done this style of photography, but am very interested in seeing what people have to offer…
