Lighthouse at Dunmore East?

nfl-fanParticipant
Not sure if this is a Lighthouse House or not… don’t think it actually has a light, but it looks like one…
Trying hard on these conversions to get some contrast and avoid too many bright/dark spots… so feel free to let me know how I can adjust!
Also was struggling with the verticals on this one… if I tried straightening the lighthouse the lamp posts were off and vice versa. Any thoughts?
C&C appreciated.
jb7ParticipantI think its more like a beacon-
to aid navigation into the harbour at night-Lovely conversion here- lots of detail too-
though the tower does seem to lean in a bit-j
wexkel11MemberHi Johno, This is a powerful image, have you been watching Dr. Who? it looks like a dalek to me , Scary Mike
Alan RossiterParticipantWhen you go to wide angle photography you can nearly always expect some distortion in perspective. What I do is use the transform tool Ctrl-T. This places a box around your image. Place the mouse pointer over one of the top corners, keep Ctrl depressed and move out to the side. This will straighten one side of the image and only slightly effect the other side. That should do it.
Nice work too!
Alan.
mgstParticipantbeefParticipantAs has been said, an excellent conversion on his one. plenty of detail too, those houses and buildings in the background are impressively sharp!
nice one,

Great conversion and detail ;) job. Love those reflections in pavement.
nfl-fanParticipantAn oldie dug up… how did that happen I wonder?
I never did thank you all for your comments… Joseph, Mick, Alan, Mick, Beef, Ricky, Pat, Ken and Mark
mcmartinParticipantyou will have to thank me as well, as said above nice job with conversion, great details, dramatic sky… as it goes to lighthouse leaning in… so is lightpost on the left leaning also towards centre… that must be wide angle distortion as alan said… noticed that in my photos as well…
BrickeeParticipantI need some cheese to go with this cracker John. Great conversion and processing. Can you correct the verticals in camera raw under the lens correction?
Jim
aoluainParticipantHey John,
I love this, as before lovely clarity and the processing is just right i think.
I would love to see a full size print of this I say it would be powerful.A
