Very nice detail. I would be tempted to brighten it a bit, but it might lose some of it’s appeal. Well done

Scenes – Canon 7D, 24-105L f16 (I think). I put the flower in a glass and put it on the table, then mounted the camera on a tripod. I was using an off camera speedlite (430EX) to try to bring out some defenition. I tried it in loads of positions, in this case it was directly above the flower and firing very slightly back towards the camera. I also had a diffuser on the flash.
Processing was done in Lightroom, all I did was fix the temperature, sharpen and add a slight vignette.

I like the focus and composition. The lighting/shadows add a nice touch, but I think you may have gone a little too ‘cool’ on the petals…
