thats a really nice idea and well executed Connie.
I do think that the church is too high in the frame though, almost hitting the edge of the image. I think its just a case of the rule (guideline) of thirds is making this image look unbalanced.Overall its a good image, sharp where its needed, great DOF and I really like the original Idea.
Thanks for the input, Will definately be going back and will allow more room in the frame. Now you have pointed it out, it makes sense to me what was not quite right about it lol
I think your other image of the cathedral (as seen in your photostream) with a wider crop, looks much much better.
