can anyone give any suggestions on this, ive been trying to print some portraits for my friend who recently had a baby. when i print i get these miserable looking lines running through the print. its definitly not roller marks because they run the horizontal along the print and the rollers(if giving trouble) should run vertical. i looked around the web and the other probelm was head alignment on the printer. ive done auto alignment on the printer and manual and still no results, ive run the nozzle cleaning as well and replaced the cartridges and its still the same. ive also reset the settings as well and tried the alignment again and its still horrible. its a canon pixma mp600. i know its not a great printer but i dont think it should be doing this.
at my wits end here any advice would be greatly appreciated. also are there any facilities available were u can go in and book time on a good printer. like booking a darkroom except using digital facilities.

    thanks
    Donal.

Sounds like banding problems. You might need to clean your printhead, using alcohol (not just the stuff you drink  ),rather than using the printer’s internal head cleaning solution.

Have a look here for an idea of common problems –

Regarding booking printer time, why not use one of the many, online printing companies?

That can sometimes happen if you are printing to fast for the paper you are
using, make sure you set the printer to print at its highest quality and select
the paper that you are using from the drop down menu in printer set up.
