Linhof Technikardan 45s for sale

I only bought it a few months ago and i have never used it. i am going to go for an ebony 8×10 so im selling this camera. this camera is in absolutely perfect condition, bought from a very reputible German Linhof re-seller. viewing welcome if you are in the Belfast area. this camera costs ?2100 new, im selling for ?1700 so pick yourself up a bargain.
If you are interested in large format photography this camera combines all the movements of a studio monorail with the compact mobility of a field camera, it folds up to easily fit inside a medium sized pro backpack with enough room for lenses, backs etc, its a great introduction to large format photography and versatile enough for studio work or field work.

my email is chrismake.ie if you want any more information or pictures of the camera.

    Have you considered a Chamonix?
I’m tied into Arca, and nearly bought a 10×8 conversion for mine this year,
but I’d seriously consider one of these…

They make a range, up to the banquet formats, and including 10×8,
but here’s one of the 5×4’s-

This is a very nice thread from a month ago-
There’s lots more on this forum, if you search for the name-

There’s a for sale section here too,
though the dollar exchange isn’t going to help with the majority of the members-

sorry to hear that Chris, theres very few LFers in Ireland, I’ve no idea why.

I’d agree with J about the dollar hitting your asking price but there would be a good few UK based LF people on http://www.apug.org and they have a classified section as well.

Those Chamonix cameras are beautiful too. Before I die I wanna do wet plate collodion on something big.

I think what Fintan is referring to is more like something from Harry Potter, Rob-
Altogether a lot more scary than film-

im really reluctant to sell the camera, its so beautifully made and has all the movements etc you could ever need. it just isnt right for me as ill be doing mostly outdoor landscape and environmental portraiture.

The 8 x 10 is for a specific project that needs contact printing onto vellum (dont ask) but for 4×5 i need something that i can travel with, like a master technika or an ebony SV45U. if money were no object . . .

I know what you mean about money Chris, hopefully you’ll be on your vellum project soon. Good luck.
