He looks almost gentle. I’ll wait till I get home to have another look but could it be warmed up a tad?

I love this shot, agree with you wonka, on screen it does look like it needs to be warmed up. I’ve seen this in print though and it’s perfect.

Lovely shot – the warmed up one being especially lovely! Fair play Aidan, a cracker.
I have to say Aidan you have some crackers on this site but this is #1. The warm up was the icing on the cake. Beautiful image and well thought.

Lovely shot, an altogether different expression from what one would normally associate to the King of the Jungle! Probably slave to the better half in that cage may be?
I was at the zoo last week, and both lions where just sleeping, and after about 10 mins this guy (I think…) raised his head, yawned, and then rolled over to the other side and continued sleeping! Lazy sods! :D
