Beautiful photograph Cathalt, really like it. Just one suggestion though, it might be worth seeing a different crop, say for instance up to the elbow and everything left of the girls arm. It might put her in a better space compositionally so to speak. Just a thought.

but i wanted to convey some sembelance to her living conditions,she was standing at the entrance
to her home….that pipe is the water supply

I have to agree with Rob.. I would like to see a cropped version – the conditions you described aren’t really narrated in the surroundings in the image – but it looks like she says so much in her face and expression. i dunno, maybe :)

yes there is something about her gaze that haunts me…
she looks old beyond her years…….I looked at her eyes for a while. That is one of my measures of a good picture.
