In buying a magazine in eason’s yesterday, large queue at the counter. Lady in front of me was buying a newspaper. She went looking for her money only when the cashier told her she owed €1.40 for the paper. She opened up her handbag and spent an eternity routing for change, leaving all types of bits and pieces on the counter in her rummage. Eventually she gathered enough change to pay for the paper and then once again spent a considerable amount of time putting all her bits and bobs back into her hand bag before vacating the till. I seem to across this regularly, is it just me?

Slow drivers in the outside lane of the motorway when there is plenty of room in the inside lane

Drivers in the outside lane of the motorway passing slower cars in the inside and then accelerating to the next vehicle to pass – just so they won’t feel obliged to move in – and then slowing down again as they pass.

(Mabe these aren’t little things, considering how mad they make me …)

To be honest, I wouldn’t be without mine. I take it everywhere with me as I find it very useful sometimes.

Go on! You know you want to :)

    No.

    I’m resisting. For the moment.

And, why is that, why do people do that in shops, I mean they know they have to pay for it. And, what about the people who suddenly remember they forgot bananas,
then return with 5 other items?!

    icky schmoozers. icky… ugh!

Just like Johnnymc. I was in the supermarket getting a few bits and a woman in front of me at the checkout had a full trolley of stuff. Scanned it all through and then said to the cashier, “I’ll have to go to the ATM”. After a few minutes she came back from the ATM and said “I left my bank card in the car” and proceeded to the car park. The cashier got a supervisor to void the sale and began to serve me, the woman returns, gives me a glaring look and said to the cashier, “I hate people who can’t wait a few minutes, fe*k sake”. At this point I could’ve killed her.

This appeared up on breakingnews.ie recently

    http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/irish-people-spend-95-hours-moaning-each-week-412193.html

A new poll has found that Irish people spend almost 9.5 hours moaning each week.

The figure adds up to more than 20 days a year.

Bad weather tops the list of daily groans, followed by tiredness, traffic and work.

The poll found that only British people moan more than the Irish.

And I hate foreigners with awful grammar and spelling, jeez, they piss me off.

On the other end of the spectrum, I hate people that presume I can’t speak english because I’m not white. Yeah, I’m not caucasian, but I’m not deaf either. Saying it louder and slower won’t make me understand you any better.

And how for a country that has produced more literary geniuses per head of capita, most people say “could of” instead of “could have”. It drives me freaking bananas.

It really could of been love.

Just for the record, I wasn’t serious when I said that, Summerdream… I was being ironic.

Quite ironic too, I thought. What would a translator make of that???

    or how about this one…

“That is what been at home all the time does to you.”

I see “been” in place of “being” all the time… :?
