My kids, I know obvious but no matter how crap a day I have had, they always make me smile.
And getting out with the camera, which is increasingly hard with this weather, I just get a buzz out of it, no matter how crap the shots are.
When I hear “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles. I’m not a big Beatles fan, but that’s the greatest song of all time.
When I switch off The Last Word to Newstalk and the first thing I hear is Seven Nation Army starting Off the Ball, meaning I’ve miss the ads…

The fact that I will be buying my Dad a “Happy 91st” birthday card at the weekend.
The thought that despite summer nearly being over, I still have my “summer” holidays to look forward to (in October).

When my dog comes to me when I call her, considering that when we went to pick her up first she wouldn’t come near the person who was “looking after” her and trusted nobody. It’s a slow process, but she’s come on an awful lot since we took her in.
Also when she licks my hand as thanks for scratching her ears and belly.
