When I looked at the thumbnail, to be honest I wasn’t really pushed
on clicking through to see the full size image, but I did anyway. And while
even after clicking through I couldn’t really find a lot in the image to
interest me, there is certainly wonderful light in the branches of the tree.
Very well photographed, just not certain if it works as it stands. I can’t
help feeling there’s something missing, or that part of it should be
cropped away. Of course that’s just my opinion…

I’d tend to agree with Rob on that one-
I think that its a crop and a rotation away from a being a very good picture-

thanks for the feedback Rob, I’ve tried the square crop but it didn’t work for me at all,so I went back to this option.I like trees so for me is nice shaped tree with golden light in branches enough, but I think, I understand you and probably others as well, that you feel it differently.. I’ll be back in this time of the year and it might be a bit better :) thanks once more

thanks to you jb as well,I tried again and it’s not that bad really. I’m not sure about the rotation but a crop can be an option as well :)

I can see what you were trying to do Tom but i done think luck was on your side. These type of simple tree shots need to have nice clouds in the background and really good light i think. The foreground is a bit to dark. I would also leave some space around the tree like in the first

I think there is a shot here, I would go back on another day when the light is better and there is some cloud in the sky

2 jb7: I see what you meant now… basically different lens might be better to use in this case :)
