I was trying to go for an isolation type look. Unforunately the shot was taken on a very sunny day.I tried desaturating, playing with the contrast and adding a harsh vignette to focus only on the lonliness of the person. Although I thought there was still something missing. Ran one of the art filters over the pictre and this is what came out. I’m not sure if the last step was onetoo far.
    C&C please…

    Cheers

I like the picture and the idea is great, for me there is too much grain in the shot.
I don’t know about this but would a lower angle give more focus to the model.
    Overall good shot,

Nice shot but that dash/grain/noise filter doesn’t really work… if you look at the subject’s arms its like she has some sort of rash or hives. If you like it and want to keep it then I’d recommend masking off the model so’s not to apply the effect here.

The missing foot seems to make the model look a little incomplete. I like the colour pop on the cuddly toy and rist band. I think a regular B+W might work better on this.

BTW: The asian model and the large dark sunglasses… reminds me a bit of pics of Yoko Ono… defo has potential this.

Cheers for teh comments. Point taken nfl-fan

I did a quick edit, tried to tone down the posteriser effect on the skin. Probably better but I think you’re right that this shot is still missing something.

Here’s it just BW with the Vignette. I think I prefer this one the best

Yep, the simple B+W conversion is the best.. the top right corner is very dark and the vignetting is only making this worse but still the B+W is much better

I don’t mind areas being very black outside of the main part but it’s a bit annoying that the left side is a lot vrighter. It would’ve been nice to get a more even background. Ah well.

    Cheers anyways

I like last version, even without vignetting, her pose isn’t too natural though, she is nervous. I guess you could edit it in “too crazy colours” to emphasize her nervous mood. I’d try :D

Not quite sure what you mean here. If you want to give it a go though be my guest.
