I think No 5 is the keeper, it has a real Martin Parr feel about it, especially the bra strap marks on her back, I think the signs add to it, fantastic.
No 6 you want to hold your breadth looking at it.. great!!!
No. 1 & 2 are exellent, really nice shots. The others are good too but I dont think they work as a series, just a thought
Hi Emmet,
I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Thanks for your nice comments and your thoughts re
the series are perfectly valid.
I suppose I did include them as a series but I thought of
them as the story I saw unfold.
I often visit Galway and this area is one of my favourites.
The morning was wild and cold and I had never seen conditions
like this around the diving board.
As I approached I never expected to see anybody at or near the board let alone swimming.
Lo and behold as I came nearer there were many people doing just that.
So that was my thinking.
The wide shots setting the scene.
The closer shot with onlookers showing a glimpse of a swimmer.
Then the close ups of the brave or mad swimmers.
I actually took the wide shots after the close ups so I could show the scene
these people were bathing in.
