looking for Canon lense…

You need to let us know what you want to do with it first, so then you can be advised what type of lens to get, as well as what length you would need, also a budget for the lens would be handy to help make suggestions
Jux-PParticipant5faytheParticipantHi Juris,
As Paddy says a little information would be a great help as the range of lens options for your camera is vast.
I have Sigma 18-200 which I find I have on the camera most of the time. (Not the greatest lens but does a good job for the price)
I have a Canon EF-S10-22 for when I need something wider. (This is a very good lens)
I bought both these lenses 2nd hand which can be a route worth considering.I also have the Canon f2.8 50mm prime.
It is an inexpensive lens, the 2.8 is handy for low light situations and it is a fun lens to use.I mainly do landscapes, bands and people.
I don’t do sports or macro so don’t really need very long or macro lenses. If I suddenly had a load of money I would buy better lenses but at the moment I am very happy with this lot.
One point to remember is that Canon’s EF-S lenses will not work with their full frame camera bodies.
All the best with your decisions.
John.
Jux-PParticipant5faytheParticipantThe Sigma 18-200 is worth considering then.
A friend of mine in our camera club bought a new one a couple of weeks ago and
he is very happy with his as well.Cheers,
John.
Jux-PParticipantJux-PParticipant5faytheParticipantHave a look in the Equipment for sale section.
If there is not one there now keep an eye on it.
You never know one might show up.You could also post in the Equipment wanted section.
I have no experience of the Tamron.
My Sigma has image stabilization.
John.
