Looking for creative people around Dublin

Hey you!
From September 2007 to March 2008 I’m going to work in Ireland as an Au Pair.
I love art, because for me it’s a way of communication and expressions.
Writing poems, drawing, making sculptures, music, photography, theatre, dancing and so on, it is great when you can use these things to express your thoughts and feelings, to create your reality like you see it, to make people thinking of their society or their own behaviour and so on.
I’d like to meet some people in Ireland to make some creative and interesting projects together.
Unfortunately I am a very excessive daydreamer, living in my dreams or in the internet world. I would prefer to do something real, to start a very interesting thing with you!
I would like to do something natural, showing people in harmony with nature, as a part of nature, showing their individual personalities. No perfect people, but individual ones, with their own stories, their own history of life, their own thoughts and feelings.
We could combine photography with other kinds of art, like poems, we could publish the projects as a book or we could make an exhibition etc. – I don’t have a plan yet, but I’m sure we could find ideas together, decide together, and realize together.
If you are interested, please write an Email to photo (at) anilalevent (.) de
yours
Anila alias Mandy.
jb7ParticipantHi Mandy-
Its an interesting idea,
posting your request here-I’d love to get an au-pair-
I think it would make my life so much more tolerable-Unfortunately, I don’t think I can afford one,
and there is the additional complication
of not having any children- which might raise some suspicions-Welcome to the site,
hope to see some pictures soon-j
ExpresbroParticipantWell I have to say Anila alias Mandy..that has to rate has one of the most interesting and unusual introductions ever..and for that alone I hope you find what your looking for.
Like Joseph…I don’t think I could afford an Au Pair either..though I do have kids…so suspicion might be less in my case
Look forward to those pics Mandy…hope it works out for ya 8)
RobMemberWelcome aboard Mandy Kritz.
As Robbie said, an interesting introduction.
An intriguing request too.
Your love of art is obvious from a short visit to your website.
No au-pair for me either, alas, but I wish you well in your quest.
Do post some pictures soon…Rob.

I’ve been mulling over your post for a few days now. Your request intrigues me as I have attempted in the past to merge my poetry and my images to try to create a sum greater than the whole.
In the late 80’s I saw a Photo Exhibition in New York that blew my socks off. It was by a female photographer/poet (whose name escapes me at the moment) who tried to bring the viewer further into her photos by using words/poetry to highlight things that clearly only the photographer would have been aware of.
I have a series of theses “merged” images on my Flickr site of which this is one:
The full set of 10 is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davemckane/sets/72157600028740721/
I’m not sure what you have in mind but I’d be happy to discuss wider creative possibilities with you,
Dave
