looking to pick up a good quality film scanner for 35mm

No thats a good point on the DPI, I will try a scan at 2400 and compare.

I will send both to the lab for printing and check the results there.Im over on the
LFP forum now clicking around.

So my understanding is that because of the size of a 35mm film frame and the amount
of enlargement needed to get it to a largish printable size there will be IQ loss,
no so with Medium to large format as the amount of enlargement is not as great.

So scanning 110 film would be fine for printing A5 ! or no more than 10×8.
