Had a great day out with aoluain. This was one of the results, and blue finges with the cold
PeteWMemberNice, although I’d be tempted to clone out the reeds to the bottom right and the couple of dust spots above the horizon. The more you look at the boat, the more it looks like it’s looking back at you too… creepy…
aoluainParticipantoh yea i’d be happy with that!!!
really nice effect, would definitely clone out the reeds
as suggested they are drawinf the attention away from
the boat and bushes.well done on that one for sure
jb7ParticipantRather than cloning, I wonder might cropping above them be a possibility?
Might turn it into one of those fashionable 2×1’s…
good tone and colour, like the composition-Those red things are quite dominant in the picture-
reminds me of a Mk I Cortina for some reason-justaguyParticipantThanks guys. Forgot to mention that this is a HDR
I took out the reeds, but I’m not convinced. I still think the reeds add something
Also took out that dust specle, hope it was the last one as my screen isn’t to clean eitherjb7Participantjustaguy wrote:

I find it difficult to believe that your histogram stretched over and under for this shot-
though I don’t know what camera you’re using-Looks like a very low contrast scene to me,
whenever I’ve shot in fog, the subject brightness range was well within the range of my sensor-Though what do I know…

Probably much more then me.
I don’t work with histograms and all that. To difficult for me.
For my HDR’s I use Redynamix as a plugin in photoshop.
That way you be working on a single file in photoshop.
You can use it on any photoAlan RossiterParticipantTurn it B&W and add a slight vignette or even a slight gradient from the top of the sky. This way the Cortina lights don’t detract and either do the subtle colours. The composition is bang on.

Thanks Alan. I tried to do something quick here. I noticed the reflection pads at the back of this boat Mentioned as (THE CORTINA LIGHTS)turn into somekind of a issue here Personally the remaind me of this robot Wally
rc53MemberIs it me, or do you need a slight CCW rotation? — seems more obvious in the b+w
